Seattle 23 - Kansas City 17

I am so confused. Did we do a good job? Or did we stink? Really bad?

Early in the game when it was first string against first string, I thought we did horrible. Our defense was pitiful, and while Hasselbeck was confident and in control, one minute he was threading the needle and the next he was throwing to who knows where! It seemed like we were as inconsistent as we've ever been.

And I didn't understand Bobby Engram's role at all. We've got him slated as one of the top 3 receivers and we still have him fielding punts? Do we want him to survive the season?

I imagine he'll take some flack for this but I LOVED D-Jackson's leap into the crowd after his touchdown! How funny was that?!

If this had been a regular season game, I'd be worried right now. I'd have very little faith in the 2005 team. As it is however, I'm going to chalk this performance up to the pre-season and try not to worry about it. The penalties will surely work their way out; the inconsistencies on offense and defense will surely disappear; Shaun will find holes created by an awesome o-line; and our secondary won't let anyone through even if they get past the first line of defense.

That's what I'm going to believe!
