Seattle Seahawks 41 - Arizona Cardinals 7

It was almost a shut-out!!! And it was a fun game to watch!! I think the Seahawks finally game Coach Holmgren something to smile about!

Kitna was in control! Perhaps that's the biggest selling point of the game. I guess I've had some doubts creep in during the last two pre-season games but today he demonstrated that he can lead the team downfield and score! He looked calm and confident, and though we don't see the wild emotion we saw last year he's still very much a leader on the field. When the two minute drill didn't work as planned, he let the players know they let him down. If the route was run wrong, he was vocal. He expects to know where the players will be and I think that shows a confidence that a quarterback needs.

For those of you who seriously doubted Foley, this game should have been your reassurance. He played very well and I know I breathed a sigh of relief!!

I was pleased with our defense overall. You certainly can't be upset with 8 sacks on the day!! I'm a little bit concerned with the running lanes that Murrell found. I hope we can fill those gaps a little quicker as we get more playing time, and I hope we can cover kick-offs a little tighter. Arizona ran it out to the 30 yard line several times; I'd like to see us nail the opposition deeper.

The interception by Bellamy was AWESOME! I see him emerging as a leader more and more. I expect to see great things from Bellamy throughout the year and possibly even a Pro Bowl appearance!! Each year he gets better and better!

Watters and Ahman Green ran well, though it was scary when Ahman fumbled. I want his confidence soaring when the regular season arrives. Sean Dawkins did an excellent job as our primary receiver. It wasn't a job he anticipated having, especially so soon, but he's stepped up to fill the void left by Galloway's hold-out (grrrrrr) and Pritchard's injury. It's a big responsibility. I'm glad he's doing so well!

We got to see Kevin Kreinhagen come in as the 3rd QB. Huard didn't play this week because he spent so much time on the field last week.

The Hawks played well!! Arizona wasn't exactly a formidable opponent but I think we've come away with a lot of positives! It's very encouraging! Go Seahawks!!!
