My Thoughts
Unless you're heading to Paris in the near future, you don't really need a book like this one. However, it was a gift given to me at Christmas by a dear friend who knows I want to go there some day, and so I decided to have some fun with it.

Every evening I open the book to a random page and "go to dinner" at the restaurant on that page! If the restaurant write-up has a website, I go to the website to look at the menu and select my dinner! I'm learning a lot about the restaurants in France, as well as the etiquette that goes along with French cuisine. I'm also learning that eating in Paris can indeed be an adventure!

Reading the book in this way makes it the gift that keeps on giving and it's oodles of fun! I look forward to it every day!

(And on a side note, the person who gave me the book sometimes chooses the restaurant and "takes me to dinner"! How fun is that?!)

Favorite Passage
The proper way to eat cheese is this: tear off a bite-size piece of bread and hold it, crumb side up, with the fingertips of your left hand. Holding your knife in your right hand, cut a bite-sized piece of cheese, pick or scoop it up with the tip of the blade, and deposit it on the prepared piece of bread, which you'll bring to your mouth using your left hand. Chew, moan, swallow, and repeat.
