"If you're a playoff team, you shouldn't come down to a field goal hoping to get you into overtime."

-- Seattle Seahawks Wide Receiver Mike Pritchard

"It's very painful for us right now. We're fighting for our lives."

-- Seattle Seahawks Coach Mike Holmgren

Seahawks 16 - Chargers 19

I am SO disappointed.

I absolutely cannot believe the game.

Where was our defense? On the first series of the game the Chargers blew downfield without any obstacles. We gave Harbaugh all the time he wanted. One sack...that's all we could come up with all day. The rest of the time he had his way.

How many times can we miss tackles? I can't believe how often we had a clean shot at the opposition and just let them go with either a misjudged rush or a half-hearted tackle.

Receiving corps, ready for your critique? How many times can you drop a pass that hits you in the hands? Aaaauuuugggghhhh! Kitna was under pressure all day! We MUST have those receptions, no matter how tough they may be! Or how easy they may be, as was often the case. Ouch.

I suppose everyone is going to want to point fingers at Peterson, and perhaps rightly so. Missing 3 field goals, one of which was a chip shot isn't acceptable. I feel for him as I know he's going to be his toughest critic this week.

I hate to say it but I still find myself quick to judge Galloway, even though he had a spectacular reception and some other nice catches. I keep thinking that if he'd been here all season we wouldn't have these timing issues that seems to have put Kitna out of synch. I'd love to know what went wrong with the pass to Joey that was intercepted. Did Joey run a bad route or did Kitna and Galloway miscommunicate?

Maybe I'm just looking for cheap excuses for the Seahawks run of bad luck...I don't know.

The interception by DAR-RYL Williams was terrific! He played very well today. It was nice to see Sam Adams back on the field again after being out with an injury. Holmgren made a great decision when he asked for a review of the play in which the officials originally said Kitna fumbled the ball and the Chargers recovered. The play was overruled as it was actually a forward pass. Great move by Holmgren to make the challenge and keep our offense on the field.

What do we do to get back on track? I don't have answers. I wish I did. I'll just say this to the fans who go to the games. PLEASE don't boo our offense or defense! I heard it today! I know there were some bad plays, some disappointing plays, some real heartbreakers. I felt it too, believe me. I was angry when we turned over the ball. I was frustrated with our inability to capitalize on big plays. I cried when you cried!

But the LAST thing we need is for our players to feel like they're the "same old Seahawks". The press will already remind them. The players don't need #12 to put the idea in their head too.

The team needs our support now. Write a letter to your favorite player! Give them some support. Show them you believe in them. Give them a reason to go to Denver with a vengeance!!!!!

Kansas City just beat the Vikings with a field goal kicked with 3 seconds remaining in the game. They're tied with us now for the top spot in the division. It's NOW time.

If you want to help our team, show them your support. They need us NOW.
