Baked Filet Mignon

4 filet mignon steaks (I used 8 oz.)
1 package brown gravy mix
2 tablespoons creamy horseradish
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh, sliced mushrooms

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare gravy as instructed on package. Add horseradish. Stir well.

 
 
 
Spray a non-stick skillet with oil and pre-heat over medium high heat. Sear the steaks 1 minute on each side. Place steaks in a lightly greased dish, seasoning with salt and pepper if you'd like.

Cook mushrooms in butter over medium heat until tender. Add to gravy mix and stir. Pour gravy over steaks. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F to desired doneness. I baked the steaks 20 minutes for rare.

Serve with a tossed green salad or a light pasta salad, potatoes and bread. MMMMMMMMMMMMM, what a meal! Keep reading...
