"We're just a different team now. We're not the old Seahawks. We expect to win every game now. We have virtually the same personnel. I think it's just a change in our attitude, in our perception."

-- Seattle Seahawks QB Jon Kitna

Seattle Seahawks 20 - Denver Broncos 17

7-2 and the top of our division!!! How great does that feel?!?!

I didn't think this was a big game for us until we got into the second half and started to make mistakes. At that point, it became a VERY big game. All the news stories in the week prior to the game came rushing to the forefront of my mind. Can the Seahawks win a big division game? Can we keep a winning streak alive? Are we going to clutch? It's so easy to let doubts creep in.

But you know what? I don't think Jon Kitna allowed any doubts to creep into his mind. He made some bad choices today but they didn't rattle him. He kept a level head and a positive attitude throughout the entire game. We saw some frustration on his face. We saw some forced plays on the field. But he never quit, and I don't believe he ever considered quitting! What a quarterback!! Oh Seahawk fans! We can be SO proud of him!

Player of the game? Tez! It's got to be! How in the world can a man of his bulk hurdle players to make a tackle on a running back? That's highlight film material! Just incredible! He was being held right and left and he was still making plays! WOW!

How 'bout Anthony Simmons! Wasn't he an animal?!? You talk about some serious goal line stances!! He was NOT going to let the Broncos get past him for a rushing touchdown! I don't think I've ever seen him hit so hard! I believe he had 10 tackles and 1 assist on the day! Terrific!!

We're suffering through some injuries again. Shawn Springs left the game for a brief time for a trip to the locker room to treat an injury. Sam Adams was in street clothes in the second half. Michael Sinclair was already out of the game. Injuries are taking their toll but we STILL managed to win the game! That is what Coach Holmgren brings to our team! It's not a one man show. We have faith in our back-ups and they haven't let us down! It's a new feeling to get used to, isn't it?!

WELCOME BACK JOEY GALLOWAY!!!

OK OK, I'll give up my grudge!! In the first place, it's hard to hold a grudge as a fan when none of the players seem to be bitter. And in the second place, Joey EARNED a spot on the team tonight. His receptions were incredible! He made some hard catches. He sacrificed his body and took some pounding after the catch. But he made the receptions in some clutch situations! I'm not at all pleased with the hold out and I'm not impressed with the either side for the way negotiations ... didn't ... go but Joey, it's great to have you back.

Ahman Green. Oh dear. My heart broke when he fumbled the kick-off return on the first play after the half. I thought for sure his career as a Seahawk was over so you can imagine my surprise when Holmgren put him in the same position for the next kick-off return. I think he at least partially redeemed himself when he had that terrific return later in the game. I just wish we could do something to keep him from fumbling! His speed is so awesome!

I continue to have mixed feelings about Willie Williams. He was beat a lot tonight. It seems he has good games and bad games, but when he's getting beat he gets beat often. That continues to be a concern for me.

We had 9 penalties for 105 yards tonight, some of which came on pass interference calls when the man was beat and we had no choice but to drag the receiver down. We need to clean that up a little bit.

OK, so it wasn't the prettiest of games! The second half started with a lot of discouraging events but we overcame them! THAT is the important thing!! Now it's on to Arrowhead to play the Chiefs!

I'll be at the game in Kansas City next weekend. The report will be a bit slow in getting posted because I have a lot of travel time to take into consideration. I'll get it posted as soon as I can.

My past experiences at Arrowhead haven't been all that great. The fans haven't been welcoming and I've never seen us win there. When you wish the Hawks good luck, you might wish a little for me too!!!
