Seattle Seahawks 24 - New York Giants 27

Gooooooooooooo Special Teams!!!

Game ball to Fabian Bownes for the play when he caught the punt and downed it inside the 5!! That was so much fun to watch! How did he make his feet stop right there in front of the goal line? That was INCREDIBLE!!!!

As for the rest of the game, well, how disappointing is it to end our playoff chances in the last 20 seconds of the game? It's torturous, I tell you!

At least it was an exciting game. Shaun Alexander's first touchdown was a beauty! I've just come from NFL.com to view his stats for the season. To think that he's done as well as and sometimes better than other running backs who have played the entire season -- WOW!

I believe that Koren Robinson's 42 yard pass reception was a career long for him. Good for Robinson who continues to get good/bad press.

Wasn't the fumble by Hasselbeck heartbreaking? He was under pressure, scrambled, had the ball knocked out from behind, then it was picked up by the Giants and run in for a touchdown that put the Giants ahead. I couldn't believe it! But even then we were able to come back with a big defensive move on our own to put us ahead in the game again. After pinning them deep (once again!) we put pressure on Collins who fumbled the ball, and John Randle recovered it in the end zone for the first touchdown of his career!! That was fun and exciting!

Hindsight is 20/20, but you have to wonder why we didn't go for the 51 yard field goal attempt in the 4th quarter. I know Lindell has struggled but he has made a 51 yarder this year in much worse weather conditions than he had today. In fact, you could hardly beat the conditions today. One wonders what might have happened if we'd have had faith in Lindell.

I thought Charlie Rogers played well today. OH, and how could I nearly forget the terrific blocking by Mack Strong to open lanes for Shaun Alexander, and then his great catch late in the game!! hee hee!! I loved that!

Prayers go out to Christian Fauria who suffered a neck stinger in the game. I hope it's a minor injury as neck stingers go.

Our playoff hopes may be dashed, but I hope the holiday season is special enough for each of you that you'll keep a smile on your face and more importantly in your heart this holiday season.

Merry Christmas to all of you!
