Seattle Seahawks 24 - Jacksonville Jaguars 15

WOOOOO HOOOOOO!! That was a good feeling on a day that could use some good feelings!

We finally got to see Shaun Alexander and I daresay he exceeded my expectations! You all know I'm a Ricky Watters fan, never more so than today after seeing his protege take the field and run like a deer! Shaun was awesome!! What fun it was to watch him!! I'm so glad that Ricky and Shaun have worked together rather than as adversaries. We're in good hands, Seahawk fans!!

No disrespect intended for Matt Hasselbeck, but Dilfer came under pressure early and often and still somehow managed to get the ball to receivers. It was SO encouraging to see progress with our offense! I know that Holmgren says when Hasselbeck is healthy he's our No. 1 quarterback, but I've got to say that I was very impressed with Trent Dilfer and the decisions he made under pressure! WAY TO GO, DILFER!!

We made our share of mistakes. 12 men on the field. Charlie Rogers had a fumble that cost us a touchdown. A penalty against Jax moved them out of field goal range, but on the next play we had a penalty that put them back into field goal range and they were able to score. However, we had enough offense that we were able to overcome our mistakes and THAT is a major improvement over the past two weeks! WA HOO! I'm so excited!!

Robinson got a lot of press for his continued progress but I sort of felt that Engram was overlooked. 5 receptions for 71 yards, definitely worthy of some praise! I also think Mili deserves some kudos for the run after the reception! He showed terrific fighting spirit today!

Did Hasselbeck really sneak in for one pass? He's listed on the stats at NFL.com. If he played, I missed it. Anyone have the details?

I know you're waiting for me to critique Holmgren -- I wouldn't want to let you down! :-) WHAT were we doing at the end of the first half when we didn't implement our two minute offense? We've done this in two games (or is it three?) Yes we were ahead in the game but another touchdown just before halftime would have made it nearly impossible for Jax to come back. Instead of working the sidelines and using the clock to our advantage, we ran running plays and took our time lining up. We ended up relying on a long pass to the end zone which was picked off. I don't understand why we did that.

Furthermore (no, I'm not done yet!!!) I'm not real excited about the conservative play calling in the second half. Shaun was having a lot of success running in the center of the field. I'm not sure why we made the switch to the outside, near the boundary, where he was unsuccessful nearly every time. Our passing game also turned conservative. I guess it doesn't matter because we won the game, but I still find myself asking the questions.

Did you see the sign held up by face-painted fans? Mr Rogers' Neighborhood! I loved it!

Anyone hear how former Seahawk Sean Dawkins is? They said during the game that he was taken into the locker room for rib x-rays and wasn't expected to return.

I admit that I was distracted throughout the game by the military developments in the Middle East today. During commercial breaks I was glued to CNN. My thoughts and prayers are with the military forces, ours and those of our allies, who are fighting for freedom.
