This is the page that takes us here and there just to see what we might find as we explore Australia! There's no general theme to the links -- you'll find anything and everything!
It's amazing how little most Americans know about Australia. Consider this your chance to see what's out there ... and to fall in love, like I have!
By the way, I've become a bit of a reader of All Things Australian. The books I've read are shown below. Good stuff, I promise!
Phillip Island Penguin Parade
Penguins? In Australia?!? Told ya so!
The Collector
Something new for me that I'm enjoying often on-line!
Ms. Wilson
I'm not sure how long this link will be kept on-line but while it's here, take a look!
Australian Folk Songs
Why? Because it's fun!!
Australian Wines
If you like wine, you'll love Australian wines!
Antiques & Art
Care for a bit of culture?!
Australiasia Music
Just a place to go to broaden your horizons.
Cold Beers and Crocodiles by Roff Smith
A book about an American who bicycles across Australia hoping to find the "real" Australia.
In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson
I'm not a big fan of Bill Bryson but I laughed till I cried when I read this book! Totally delightful!
My Place by Sally Morgan
The cover describes this as the Australian version of Roots. The dedication reads: "How deprived we would have been if we had been willing to let things stay stay as they were. We would have survived, but not as a whole people. We would never have known our place."
Mutant Message Down Under
by Marlo Morgan
A book heavily laden in controversy as to whether or not this is fiction or non-fiction. I enjoyed the book immensely but wish to add my concerns as to the legitimacy of the material represented as Aboriginal.
Message from Forever by Marlo Morgan
Again, a well-written book about Aboriginal people but I'll add the same disclaimer to this one as I did above!
The Road from Coorainby Jill Ker Conway
A book about growing up Australian.
