Richmond 12.13.85 - Sydney 12.12.84
Whoa!! When I went to bed at half time we had a commendable lead. Imagine my surprise when I awoke the next morning to discover we'd won by only one point!!

I had some personal commitments to tend to early on my Saturday morning, so when the Tiges were up by such a comfortable margin, I thought it was safe to go on to bed. Little did I know ... !

After reading the article I just have to say that a win is a win. We were able to do enough early in the game to sustain us to the end and that shows some strength, courage and stability. Good on the boys!

One thing that stands out in my mind from the radio broadcast of the game is early on when Campbell kicked to Richo who took a diving mark. The 3AW commentary team went on and on about the teamwork and relationship between Campbell and Richo and I listened with great interest and admiration. Richo went on to kick the goal from 55 out on a tight angle and I couldn't help but beam with pride!

I so glad we got back on track this week, and hope we just keep getting better from here on out!

... a win's a win, but there was no reason to raise my blood pressure by throwing away a 40 point lead with a sudden rush of incredibly dumb decisions!

But yet again, it's still a positive in the midst of negatives. This team has raised its standards so far from the last couple of years that the season is already a success. Everything from here is a bonus. Not that Terry will be thinking that way!
