Richmond 23.13.151 - Carlton 10.5.66
I'm cheating. I'm writing while the game is still being played! I can't wait any longer to sing our Tigerland song!!

YELLOW AND BLACK!!!

What a game this is!! My favorite team to beat is the Blues so you know I'm loving this rout today!!! I know this is awful but I'm sitting here hoping we'll kick more goals! I've gotten terribly greedy! More! More! I want it to rain goals for Richmond! I want this to be a record setting game for the club. I want the boys to be flying high with the fun of victory so that they'll be hungry for more!

It didn't take long for Rex Hunt's "fat lady" to sing today. She was singing late in the first quarter after Rex Hunt did his "huff...puff...Richmond has blown Carlton to the scheisenhausen"! (I have no idea how to spell scheisenhausen!) Rex did take it back shortly thereafter, but then he/she was singing again early in the second quarter! I get such a kick out of Rex Hunt!

OK, well, it's 1:40 am in Kansas right now and I'm really tired so I'm going to head on off to bed. What a game! What a night! I'm so proud of our Tigers, and I'm a believer in Terry Wallace!! What a coach! He's got the boys playing in positions that emphasize their strengths, and he's got them believing in themselves. I've heard SO much about the golden days of the Yellow and Black! Baby, they're coming back!!!

Have something to say? Please e-mail me! I'd love to hear from you! Please be sure to reference the Richmond Tigers in the subject line for priority mail handling! THANK YOU!

Hi Becky,
You don't call a game like that a win. You call it an annihilation! It was absolutely beautiful. I cheered every goal through. There were 52,000+ there and we were all delirious. That is how to play football. I can't remember the last time we kicked a score like that. The Tiger is roaring!
Chris.

Richmond should be doing double laps today for not going on with it. If Freo can beat Collingwood by 100+, they should have beaten Carlton by 200!

Yes, it was a good one wasn't it? They just have to stay realistic and remember that they've been pounded twice this year by better teams. The confidence is good but realism and consistency will be even better.
