Sept. 30, 2007 - San Francisco, CA I missed the excitement at the start of the second half when SF kicked off to us, did an on-side kick and recovered their own ball. The next pass was an interception, and shortly thereafter we scored. I missed it all because I was standing in line to get a whopping $7.75 hot dog, which was delicious by the way. The stadium is not set up to hold this many fans, so getting in and out of the bathroom and/or buying drinks or food was a nightmare. 49er fans spilled out of the stadium long before the game was over, but even so we were stuck in huge lines of traffic. Craig literally fell asleep more than once while waiting in traffic. Karyn kept asking him if he was awake, and sometimes it was doubtful. Once the traffic got moving he was fine, but we waited probably an hour to get out of the stadium due to traffic. It was a nightmare.
By the time we got back to the hotel we were all beat. The game took it out of us but the driving was pretty difficult as well. We ended up in Chinatown on the way home, which was not like I expected at all. Much seedier. We were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too tired for driving around to find someplace to eat so we ended up at a Thai restaurant down the street from the hotel. It was SENSATIONAL. Oh my gosh, Thai food is so wonderful. We had chicken satay for starters - |
