Sept. 20, 2007 - Salina, KS to Seattle, WA
We drove through Point Defiance on the way home. Once I saw it I remembered it from a previous trip. A lovely park. I wouldn't have minded walking around there as well. Very scenic.

We drove across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and saw the new bridge right beside the old one, which alleviated traffic problems getting into and out of Gig Harbor. Very exciting!

Once here at home, we sat around visiting and then had beef stroganoff for dinner. I had a small glass of wine, and Jan had set out a fruit and cheese tray. So nice. We walked around in their back yard looking at the beautiful plants, and then took the dog for a walk. Jan and I walked quite a bit - this is such a nice neighborhood. It's nice to know we could walk after dark without worry. We came back home, watched Survivor: China, and then pretty much called it a night.

What a great day this has been! I got to see mountains from the air - oh, how I love them! I got to see a lot of water and sand, I got to walk along the beach, and I got to dine outdoors. It's only 10:20pm Seattle time, but it's 12:20pm to me because of the time difference!!! We better get some sleep, as I think we have a busy day ahead tomorrow! Goodnight, dear diary!
