Sept. 30, 2007 - San Francisco, CA
I was shocked when we got to Monster Park, aka Candlestick, aka Whatever It's Called These Days. It sits near the water in an industrial park area of San Francisco. There is nothing scenic about it! The parking lot, which is huge of course, is flat, graveled, has scrub brush around it and is about as unremarkable as you can imagine. The stadium itself is UGLY! People bagged the Kingdome all the time for its massive concrete ugliness, but the Kingdome has nothing on Monster Park. It is a horrible stadium in location, aesthetics, parking and functionality. If anyone needs a new stadium it's the 49ers!!! D-Jack must think he’s died and gone to ... uh ... that other place!

There were oodles of Seahawks fans at the game! We had a terrific time yelling and high fiving and putting up with good natured ribbing from 49ers fans. They were GREAT to us, even when we were beating up on them. VERY gracious fans, a good stadium to visit.

Game details are here so I won't go into further details here, but it was interesting that another fan jumped out of the stands onto the field during the game, same as last week. Stupid people abound. I'm sure they're not laughing quite as much when they're tackled by 350 pound security
officers and dragged off the field!
