Seahawks vs Panthers | Game Day | Lamar King | Autographs | Meet Pat! | The Game | The Stadium | Halftime |

Those of you who have read my Game Day reports in the past won't be surprised to hear that I woke up Sunday morning at 3:30, wide awake with a tummy full of jitters! That's how it is on Game Day! I get SO excited!

Pat arrived at 7:00 so we could go to breakfast but that was a waste of time and money on my part! A few bites of a Bojangles breakfast, no matter how good it was, was all I could manage! Any other day I'd have loved it but Game Day is, well, not an easy time on the stomach!

We headed straight back to the Marriott with hopes that we'd be able to see the players prior to the game. This time Pat was armed with his football, hoping to get autographs. We hung around the lobby all morning. There was nothing discreet about us on Sunday, wearing our Seahawks jerseys and jackets! There wasn't a soul who wouldn't recognize us as true blue Seahawks fans!

Shawn Springs passed in front of us a couple of times, in a big hurry to go somewhere! The diamonds in his ears were to die for!! Huge diamond solitares -- just beautiful!! I tried to get Pat to tackle him so I could get the earrings but for some reason, Pat didn't think that was a good idea! :-)

While we were waiting for the opportunity to see other Seahawks, we met a very nice gentleman from Minnesota. Little did we know as we visited with him just how much he'd do for us!

Pat and I had been waiting patiently for the players to come our way. Speaking only for myself, the time passed so quickly! To me it was exciting just to be there; to know the players were milling about in the same hotel; to know we'd be in the stadium in a few short hours! There was heavy security in the hotel; policemen and Seahawks Security were standing guard at the elevator exits so we were playing it very cool, waiting patiently in the lobby area. It took the encouragement of Tim Femrite (shown in the Moose shirt above) to move us into better position to get autographs! Tim happened to be staying in the Marriott on the 9th floor. Wasn't it nice of him to, um, invite us to see the 9th floor, and well, we couldn't help it if Nolan Cromwell happened to get on the elevator at the same time we were going up! What a coincidence that Pat had his football and a pen handy for an autograph!!! :-)

And we couldn't help it if Michael Sinclair and Antonio Cochran and Gil Haskell joined us on the elevator as well! hee hee!

I'm afraid I do owe Mr. Femrite an apology for the giddy behavior I displayed as we saw so many players and coaches within arm's reach! I'm sorry Tim, it's just that it was SO exciting!
