Seahawks vs Panthers | Game Day | Lamar King | Autographs | Meet Pat! | The Game | The Stadium | Halftime |

I do want to briefly mention the halftime show. When we arrived at the stadium I noticed a section of pink ladies and I wondered what that was about. The halftime show was a breast cancer awareness presentation. Each of the women you see in pink shirts are breast cancer survivors. It's a bittersweet feeling to see so many women on the field. Lovely to see that they've made it through one of life's challenges; sad to see that it's affected so many people.

I admit to being moved by the presentation. I thought the release of balloons was lovely as well.

I heard on television earlier that morning that there was a walk in downtown Charlotte to raise money for breast cancer research -- I hope the effort was supported well.

Eventually the sun started to fade, which is well and good since the Seahawks had faded long before.

With that, we made the long walk back to the car.

My apologies to Pat for the tears that slipped from my eyes. We each had different reactions to the outcome of the game. He handled it better than I did. Alas.

But in the end, I'd go through a repeat of this weekend again in a heartbeat! The pre-game events, seeing all the players in person, getting autographs, having a "box lunch" at the swank Omni Hotel, watching the NCSU game, exploring Charlotte, talking, laughing and spending time with another Seahawks fan as die-hard as I am ... most definitely worth it!!

Thank you Pat, for a great weekend!! You're a sweetheart and any girl who can't see that is blind! I can't wait to get the autographs of your sons when they make it to the NFL!!!

Thank you Tim, for giving Pat and I the encouragement we needed to be silly!! No better, no worse!! I'll try to remember your words each time I see the Seahawk gods!!

Thank you Charlotte, for your hospitality. The city was hopping with NASCAR visitors, but each evening as I tried a new restaurant for dinner, I was treated as if I were the only guest in the restaurant. Everywhere we went the people were warm and friendly, full of that southern hospitality! Very nice!

Hang in there, Seahawk fans. Loving our team through the tough times gives us the right to claim the victories as our too!
