2008: The Final Year

Hey Ref!

Week 10: Seattle 20 - Arizona 26

I thought we might have a chance to pull this one out but no such luck. Matt Hasselbeck was determined to throw an interception and that's how the game went down. He took a pounding out there. If he's back next week, I'll be absolutely shocked. To his credit, he stuck it out and played the whole game, remarkably well for coming off several weeks of injuries. He's one tough QB, and we're very fortunate to have him wearing the green and blue of Seattle!

Quotes by Mike Holmgren

"We just haven’t played well enough ... they have.”

"This has been an unusual year. We came in thinking that absolutely we were going to be competitive enough to go for (a division title) again."

"There is not a question in my mind that the Seattle Seahawks will be competitive again. I don’t believe they will have to go through the same injury situation we had to go through. We have a lot of pride on the football team. They are good players ... they’ll bounce back.”
