2008: The Final Year

Week 13: Seattle 21 - New England 24

Aaauuuggghhh! I thought we could pull this one off! We were ahead the whole game right up to, well, to the point that they took the lead and won the game. Oh, the pain! We were sooooooooooooo close!!!!

Seneca Wallace played his heart out. It was a joy to watch him move the team downfield quickly and effectively on our first scoring drive. I thought this was the best he's played this year.

I'm disappointed that Coach Holmgren didn't throw the red flag on a 3rd down pass that would have kept our offense on the field and given us a chance to win the game. The announcers thought he'd throw it. The fans thought he'd throw it. The players thought he'd throw it. It was in his hand, for heaven's sake. But he didn't throw it, and now we'll never know if it would have made a difference in the game.

I'm proud of our guys for the way they played, and I'm proud of the 12th man who showed up at the stadium and screamed their lungs out!

Quotes by Mike Holmgren

"What I have tried to emphasize is the fact that we always fight to the end. This game showed that the players are giving me everything they've got."

"He played within himself. He made special plays. It's the type of game you would like to have a quarterback play." – regarding Seneca Wallace’s performance
